The 1st Sunday of every month MIND holds a general meeting in Minneapolis where community members can visit, ask questions, and also contribute their ideas for future programs.

We are a non-profit organization that celebrates the cultural diversity of the Nigerian diaspora in Minnesota. We help Nigerian citizens Bridge the gap between them and the USA citizens, other Nigerians in the area, non-profit organizations, Nigerian embassy as well as the Federal Government of Nigeria. Through mutual understanding and uplifting, we aim to improve their quality of life. Moreover, we strive to develop social, economic and cultural development, which can help in collective development of our fellow Nigerians in Minnesota. Whether you are a long time Nigerian resident or newly arrived in Minnesota, MIND offers a strong support system to make life more comfortable for you.
MIND MN is building a befitting center that will house our cultural artifacts, be a daycare center for our aged, act as cultural school for our children and offer halls for traditional marriages, weddings and the typical Nigerian parties that we are being denied in most rented centers in Minnesota.

MIND conducts a yearly family picnic by bringing together all African communities and their members in the Twin Cities.
Minnesota Institute for Nigerian Development (MIND) has proposed a MIND Community and Cultural Center for the Nigerian diaspora in Minnesota. It will be accessible and useful to people of all age groups, specially targeting the youth community. With an objective to conduct educational, social and cultural programs to improve the quality of life for Nigerians in Minnesota, we believe the proposed community and cultural center will benefit all Nigerian citizens residing in Minnesota.
